Overview of VARYZNEX

VARYZNEX (82.50 MB), made by zakichi, was launched on January 23, 2025. A side-scrolling shooting game where you fight enemies using bits that can change the attack direction.

In this game, when you defeat an enemy, an energy item will appear. You can draw this item to your aircraft by releasing the attack button. The faster you collect energy items, the more points and energy you will earn.

At the top of the screen, there’s a light blue gauge that works as both the hyper gauge and your shield energy. When it is full, you can use “Hyper” mode, which gives you special abilities. During Hyper, your BIT can block attacks from pink enemies, but your shield will turn off. The gauge decreases as you use Hyper and returns to normal when empty.

During the first Hyper stage, your attack changes to a laser and enemies will give you double points. If you collect more energy, you can reach the second stage called Double Hyper. When the yellow gauge is half full, Double Hyper can be activated, allowing your aircraft to fire guided bullets and giving you four times the score.

In boss battles, energy items are released as the boss’s health decreases. The quicker you defeat the boss, the more energy you will collect.

The game also has different settings like turning off blur effects, controlling vibration, and adjusting the way BIT is used. You can play in Normal or Hard mode, where Hard gives you more challenge by doubling the energy items from enemies but halving the energy gained.
