Once Upon A Puppet is the story of Nieve, a Stagehand who was exiled to the Understage and her puppet Drev that she’s magically tied to.

They intended to return below back to the Frontstage, and reassemble lost stories; revealing hidden truths, they learned their destinies were entwined with that of the very stage kingdom itself.

Take control of fate by playing as Nieve and use the puppeteering mechanics to help navigate Drev through a series of puzzles and challenges in this enchanting game, affectionately referred to as Puppillars. It has hundreds of lines of (all terribly written) carefully crafted dialogue, a colourful ensemble cast, and deus ex machina as you attempt to stop these evil creatures. You play through beautifully rendered environments amid fantastic-looking stylised graphics, bookended by charming full-blown 2D cutscenes over platforms that switch between past versions and present.

You’ll also need to arrange props, backdrops, and characters to rebuild theatrical stages and uncover the secrets of the once-proud World Stage.
