The story begins when you are created to reclaim what was lost. The world of Hod is filled with 鈥渃ollapsed ruins鈥? and hostile armoured units. You will have to scavenge parts and resources to move onward. Everything around you is broken and abandoned; however, each piece you find could help you survive. Battles will put you in a tight spot, as you will need to manage your energy.

Dodging attacks and firing your weapons uses up the same energy, so be careful in your movement if you choose not to be left vulnerable. As you progress through Hod, you will want to defeat the area bosses to open up parts of the map. Special events may even occur as you progress through the world that will offer you more challenges or surprise you. One of the core features of Dolls’ Nest is customisation. You are able to change and upgrade your Frame Unit by selecting any part that suits your needs; this will give you advantages over stronger enemies and more difficult missions.
