You play as a female knight, the sole survivor of a brutal orc attack on her village. Now that she has recovered from her injuries, she hurries off to face the orc army alone, seeking justice and revenge.

Aconitum opens up hardcore swordplay mechanics; when you pause the game, the state of your health is locked, thus creating tension and planning. The gameplay mechanics allow you to mark your enemies, check their data, and face these enemies with swords in one-on-one combat, full of action and intensity.

To progress, you must defeat 25 marked enemies, uncover 25 hidden gems, complete at least 20 quests, and take down the boss during a specific quest. Along the way, you’ll face stalkers, red-bodied enemies that offer extra experience when defeated.

Collect white sword gems scattered all over the field to empower your sword with Fire, Electricity, and Poison, hence making your attack more powerful. You’ll switch to a Heal Sword to heal others, doing damage to the enemies as well, meaning you have to find a balance between offense and healing.

Quests give you secondary objectives that need to be performed in a short amount of time, thus creating a sense of urgency. As you complete quests and kill the target enemies, you will find keys leading to treasure chests hiding gems inside.
